The Igloo Lounge Gets a New Corner
The lounge has grown a card corner. It's been on my list for a while — the reel and wheel games had a room of their own from the start, but the card games were scattered around without much of a shared feel, and I wanted them to sit together properly.
Fjord Baccarat Hall and Northern Spread Card ended up defining the look of the corner more than I expected, mostly because their tables needed the most space to lay out clearly. Once those two looked right, the rest of the card games slotted in around them without much trouble.
I kept going back and forth on lighting for this bit of the site. Too bright and it clashed with the aurora theme running through everything else; too dim and the cards were hard to read at a glance, which matters more here than almost anywhere else on the site.
What I landed on is a low lamp glow, warmer than the rest of the lounge, like someone pulled a table a bit closer to the hearth. It's a small shift but it does a lot of the work in making the corner feel like its own space rather than a leftover bit of the reel room.
There's more I'd like to do with this area eventually, but for now I'm mostly just glad it finally feels finished rather than assembled.
